Nico the raccoon loved cozy corners, bedtime books, and star-shaped marshmallows.
But when his cousin Pip invited him on a camping trip, Nico wasn’t so sure.
“It’s outside,” Nico whispered. “With bugs. And weird night noises.”
Still, he packed his fuzzy blanket and his flashlight… just in case.
Chapter 1: Into the Woods
Pip led the way with a happy bounce. Nico followed slowly, holding tight to his rolled-up sleeping bag.
When they reached the campsite, Pip shouted, “Let’s set up the tent!”
Nico blinked. “We sleep in a… fabric house?”
Pip giggled. “You’ll see! It’s fun.”
Chapter 2: Campfire Fears
That night, the fire crackled and popped.
Nico curled up near the flames, trying to ignore the rustling in the bushes.
“Was that a bear?” he squeaked.
“Nope,” Pip said, offering a marshmallow. “Just the wind—and maybe a squirrel sneeze.”
Nico laughed a little. “Squirrel sneezes aren’t too scary.”
Chapter 3: The Magic Sky
After dinner, Pip showed Nico how to find constellations.
“Look, the Big Raccoon!” Pip pointed with his tail.
Nico stared up. The stars were so bright… and the breeze was gentle. He felt brave enough to lie on his back and breathe in the piney air.
“This isn’t so bad,” he smiled.
Chapter 4: Morning Glow
Nico woke up to birds singing and sunlight peeking through the tent.
He stretched, peeked outside, and found Pip making breakfast.
“Did you sleep okay?” Pip asked.
Nico nodded. “I think I love camping now. Even if I still like blankets and bedtime books.”
Conclusion
From that day on, Nico became a little braver with every adventure.
Because trying new things doesn’t mean giving up the old—it just makes your world a little bigger. ⛺🦝⭐
